English for Construction course combines a strong grammar syllabus with the industry related vocabulary. It will help you become much more confident in communicating in English with your clients and colleagues. The course combines role-plays and a variety of exercises to provide an engaging, motivating course with up to date and relevant material

– Trades: describing trades and the stages of trade training, talking about materials, making calculations, giving instructions
– Heavy equipment: delivery, controls and equipment, equipment on site
– Building supplies: placing and confirming orders, checking stock items, talking about insulation, explaining problems
– On site: working with sub-contractors, following directions, understanding different types of weather, giving reasons
– Health and Safety: warning signs, site safety, first aid, waste disposal
– The contractor’s office: dealing with clients and projects, giving calculations, calculating an area, describing the shape of constructions
– Planning ahead: projects, schedules, making comparisons, writing quantities

– Design: technical drawing, estimates, discussing ideas and improvements
