Course description

Our B1 General English course is aimed at learners with an Intermediate level of English who wish to make progress in the language. Typical learners at B1 level are able to use the language independently with familiar topics, and are comfortable understanding and expressing opinions. However, they may have trouble with more abstract uses of the language. Upon completion of this course, you will be able to understand and form more complex sentences and communicate in English with increased confidence.


Course outcomes

By the end of this course you will be able to:

– Understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc
– Deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where English is spoken. produce simple connected text on topics which are familiar or of personal interest
– Describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes & ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans
